InfoCamere is the consortium company for the Italian Chambers of Commerce, which created and managed registroimprese.it. It is an excellent structure for the management and dissemination of the information held by the Chamber of Commerce system. Established in 1974, it immediately exploited new IT and communication technologies for the Chambers of Commerce to be able to network with each other.
InfoCamere in fact manages the national communication system by linking the Chambers of Commerce and their branch offices via a high speed, high security network. It also ensures the continuous updating of the IT structures and provides technological solutions to enable the best possible realisation of institutional and management functions for each Chamber.
Over time InfoCamere proved a real revolution: in fact, thanks to their help the Chambers of Commerce have, over the years, carried out an important process of dematerialisation which, to date, allows companies to send all files electronically from the start of their activities and the Chambers to store these. A direction that has significantly simplified the lives of companies and individuals.
