Financial Statements, Protests Find the company or the individual and look at the official documents
With ri.cerca you can identify the main Data Search Service for the Chamber databases, which has been provided for registered users. Via ‘registroimprese-Telemaco', an application that is able to be accessed by specifying the log-in information received upon registration, you can use a number of search features (all of which are able to be launched from the ri.cerca menu) that allow you to identify:
- companies and individuals within the Italian Business Register;
- protests for a failure to pay that has been registered within the Register of Protests;
- trademarks and patents that are the result of applications filed with the Chambers of Commerce;
- companies and individuals who are present within 26 European Registers.
Having obtained the results, viewed as a list, the system then allows you to choose and extract the document you want from what is available and offered, depending on the file you are searching for, regarding the legal status of the company, the role of the individual.
You can search for Companies specifying the name, or the tax code, or by inputting the REA Number (identification code of the provincial Italian Business Register). You can also use additional selection criteria such as the legal status and the province, or you can specify whether companies that are no longer in operation should be included within the selection or not.
Within the Italian Business Register you can also search for Individuals who hold a role (directors, auditors), who have shareholdings in companies, or who are sole proprietors of companies. Simply provide the name, possibly indicating the date of birth, or enter their tax code.
The system will return a list, which can be arranged by different criteria, of the items that meet the specified conditions, with the essential identification information for each company or person: you can go into more detail for each of these. Once the company or individual of interest has been identified, the system allows you to choose an official document to extract; in fact for companies, other than the Standard Company Information Search and Historic Search, there are different documents depending on the legal status: corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorships and other legal forms:
- documents for corporations
Standard Company Information; Historic Company Information; Dossier; Historic dossier; Articles of Association; Last financial statements filed; Directors; Capital and financial instruments; Financial statements; Dissolution, bankruptcy, write-offs; Shareholders and holders of rights over shares; History of share transfers for a limited company; Shareholdings in other companies; Directors, auditors, members of supervisory bodies; Holders of other positions or qualifications; Parent Companies/Entities; Company transfers, mergers, demergers and takeovers; Assets, registers and roles; Headquarters and local branches; Investigation files, etc.
- documents for partnerships
Standard Company Information; Historic Company Information; Dossier; Historic dossier; Information about shareholders agreements, shareholders agreements that have been filed; Balance Sheet Accounts; Dissolution, bankruptcy, write-offs; Shareholders and holders of rights over shares; Parent Companies/Entities; Shareholdings in other companies; Company transfers, mergers, demergers and takeovers; Assets, registers and roles; Headquarters and local branches; Investigation files, etc.
- documents for individual companies and their branches and headquarters outside of the province
Standard Company Information; Historic Company Information; Investigation files; Shareholding by the holder in other companies; Search of the Craftsmen Register, etc.
However, for individuals there are documents that list all the companies in which the person has a role or has a shareholding, considering current information, but also historic information, when documents are
- requested for individuals
File of current roles; Complete file for the person; Shareholder file; Historic shareholder file; Company transfer file, etc.
Authorised users are also able to request Certificates (registration, registration for individual companies and historic certificates).
A consultation of the Register of Protests will identify protests due to a failure to pay bills of exchange, promissory notes or bank cheques throughout the country. Via this search you can specify the name of the subject against whom the protest was raised or where there has been a refusal to pay (generally an individual, sometimes a company) possibly indicating additional information such as territory (region, province or municipality) and date of birth.
A Protest search will come back positive or negative: in the first case the system will return the identified occurrences, with the essential identification data for each protest (Name, Home address, Municipality and province of residence, Date of birth, Tax code).
Having identified the position of interest, the Protest Company Information can be requested (with the list of the receivables). If the result of the search should be negative you can instead request a Protest Company Information of NON Existence.
Protest notices are kept in a database, except if there should be any cancellations, for five years from the date they are registered.
The search lets us know about any public information in relation to industrial property applications for Patents and Trademarks. Patents include: inventions, utility models, ornamental models, new plant varieties, where as the Trademark is the distinctive mark of the company that distinguishes their products or services.
You can base your search on information about the holder (name or tax code) or by providing some details about the trademark or patent to be identified (for instance details about the application, or part of the description and territory of interest).
A search for a holder allows a company or an individual to be identified, for which you can then request a Cumulative Company Information containing all the trademarks, or patents, over which the holder may, or could, assert a right (e.g. property pledge, usufruct...).
The search for the trademark/patent information allows you to see the Filing Record for the identified Trademark or Patent.
The cost of Data Searches Service (Company Information, Financial Statements, Protests) includes rates and administration fees, as scheduled by the Ministry of Economic Development.

- What is the difference between Basic and Full Navigation?

However, with full Navigation you have all the system functions at your disposal, including those that are more complex and specialist: it is tailored toward more expert users, or those who wish to use services that are more advanced. The user can switch from one method of navigation to the other at any time.

With a credit card or via any other payment method noted on the system, you will be able to pay an amount, from which the costs payable will be detracted from time to time. To increase your credit there is a specific Payment function that is accessible from the service Home Page, or by entering the User Area, under the section entitled "My account".
Once the amounts to be charged have been entered under the items "Fees" and/or "Administration Fees and Duties", you can access the secure payment section via a pre-chosen route (Visa, Mastercard, Diners, Unicredit Payonline for current account holders of this institution who are authorised for the service), where the transaction will be able to be completed as per the methods scheduled by the payment instrument used.
- Is it possible to monitor my usage?
Registered users have all the instruments at their disposal to see a detailed and full statement of all their usage.
By accessing the section entitled "My account" within the User Area, via the functions that are available under the item "Statement of account" you can check, for instance, payments on a monthly basis, usage per month or year.
- What does customising your searches mean?
Those who use repeated search types, which always have the same settings or always request the same documents, will find this function to be particularly useful.
By choosing Full Navigation and the advanced search option, the customising of one or more searches will allow you to remember once and for all a number of repeated settings, such as the type of search (on companies or individuals), the block of information, the documentation, the desired format, and so on.
