It is the Chamber of Commerce portal that enables access via the web to the information asset contained within the Italian Business Register, the Register of Protests and the Patent and Trademark database and via which the Registers for European companies can also be searched.
This is carried out and managed by InfoCamere, the IT company for the Chamber of Commerce System.
- About the Italian Business Register
The Italian Business Register can be defined as the register of company details: it in fact contains information (incorporation, amendments, closure of business) for all companies with any legal status and within any sector of economic activity, with headquarters or local branches within the country, as well as any other subjects as required by law.
The Italian Business Register is a public registry which, as provided for within the Italian Civil Code, has been fully implemented since 1996, by the Law in relation to the reorganisation of the Chambers of Commerce and with the subsequent Implementing Regulation.
- What is meant by chamber system?
The Italian Chamber system consists of Chambers of Commerce organized on a territorial basis, Regional Associations, branch offices, Regional Overseas Centres, Italian Overseas Chambers of Commerce, Special Companies, European Points of Information, plus more than a thousand holdings in infrastructure, companies, consortia and other organisations.
The mission of the Chambers of Commerce is to deal with the general interests of the production system, promoting local development, market regulation and transparency, providing links between the business system and the Public Authorities.
- Who is InfoCamere?
InfoCamere is the consortium IT company for the Italian Chambers of Commerce, which created and manages the RegistroImprese.it portal.
Established in 1974, InfoCamere manages the national communication system, which between them link the Chambers of Commerce and their branch offices via a high speed, high security network.

- What services does registroimprese.it offer?
Data search, to make inquiries of the chamber databases and archives and extract all the main official documents made available;
- What main information can be accessed?
registroimprese.it makes all the main legal, financial and administrative information within the Italian Business Register available to everyone, processed by the Italian Business Register.
This ranges from the most simple, such as the name, legal status, address of the main legal site and type of activity, up to more in-depth information or documents such as financial statements, articles of association, information about shareholders, directors, incorporation data and share capital, company bodies, powers of attorney, and so on.
In addition to the Business Register, the Protest, Trademark and Patent, and EBR – European Business Register can also be searched, which contains information for about 18 million companies in the main European member countries.

Everyone has free access to registroimprese.it and can search it easily.
The portal is expressly aimed at:
- individual entrepreneurs or companies in order to verify the reliability of partners, suppliers and shareholders;
- freelance professionals for the electronic management of files or for the acquisition of official documents and information;
- citizens, to obtain information that protects them as consumers;
- professional operators in the market of economic and commercial information;
- Is access to registroimprese.it free?
Navigation is completely free: you can access the information sections, to search for a company by name or product for free, or to obtain, making a payment via credit card, company information, the dossier, the financial statements of a company.
If you should later wish to fully access all the chamber data search services, you will need to register: you will receive an e-mail with the access ID and password. The portal always indicates which services require registration.

- How does one register on the portal?
It is very easy.
You just need to access the registration procedure either from the "Register now" button on the Home Page, or from any other point on the portal where there is a Register link.
Once you have entered the correct section, you will be guided to enter some personal details, and possibly information about the subject (company, professional office or entity) that you are representing or that has appointed you. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with the access details.
Registration is completely free.
