APPOINTMENTS: WHAT ARE THEY?



Within a company (and local unit) people can take on certain positions (partner, managing partner, etc.) or be nominated to certain appointments (chairman, managing director, etc.). One person may hold several appointments and positions.
Over time, positions and appointments may be confirmed, changed or resigned.The Office is therefore the position, or the role within the business, held by a person within a business (sole propietorship or company) based on company law, regulations, or even special rules set down in the company statute.
In a broader sense, one or more appointments (administrative, technical, or of another type) and positions within a wide range of options may be held by one person, depending also on the type of company in question.


In the Business Register it is possible to identify the Persons (individuals or legal entities) who hold or have held office in one or more companies.

To carry out a search it is sufficient to indicate the name, if necessary also specifying the date of birth, or enter the tax code, to obtain a "personal file" (with current offices only or with a complete history) in which the following information is provided:

  • the companies (with all essential details) in which the person currently holds offices or positions
  • the type of office or position currently held by the person, with any date of nomination and duration
  • the companies (with all essential details) in which the person has held offices or positions
  • the type of office or position that was held by the person (office resigned, with date of registration, protocol details)..
